臭豆腐 Stinky Tofu
This pungent, fermented street food that's full of live bacteria is one of the most popular dishes throughout China. It is made by fermenting the soybean curd in brine with vegetables and served with pickled vegetables.
It has cult-like popularity back in China and is considered by many to be one of the signatures of Changsha, Hunan.
水煮牛肉 Spicy Boiled Beef
The dish has the most tender beef fillet poached in well-seasoned broth, topped with beansprouts and chilli.
Don’t be fooled by the name thinking that the dish is bland; like a signature Sichuan dish, it is guaranteed to be the spiciest, most flavourful food you will ever taste.
